AFVR Honor Division kicks off with a “rain” of goals

The 2025/2026 season of the Vila Real Football Association (AFVR) has kicked off.

The first round of the championship took place this Sunday and was a "rain" of goals. There were 30 in total, with only the Mondinense vs. Vila Pouca match having no goals.

The game with the most goals was Vidago vs. Pedras Salgadas, with nine in total. The final score was 5-4. Special mention goes to Valpaços vs. Atei, which ended 6-0, and Montalegre vs. Cerva, which the Barrosã team won 5-0.

Santa Marta hosted Vilar de Perdizes, a game that the visitors won 0-3. And Régua went to Abambres' home ground and won by the same result (0-3).

Sabroso debuted against Mesão Frio, losing 1-2. Constantim went to Fontelas and won 0-1.

The match between Mondinense and Vila Pouca ended in a draw, on a day in which Cumieira had a rest.
